Every Reliant Rides driver goes through a carefully structured hiring and training process to ensure the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and compassion on every trip.
Comprehensive Screening
Our process begins long before a driver ever takes the wheel.
Each candidate completes:
- A thorough application and interview process
- Background and drug screenings
- Certification verification and onboarding paperwork
Only the most qualified and caring individuals move forward to training.
Certified Online Training
Before driving, new team members complete a multi-course online training program that covers:
- Safe driving and emergency response
- Wheelchair and stretcher securement
- Passenger interaction and disability awareness
- HIPAA, CPR/First Aid, and defensive driving certification
This foundational training ensures every driver is equipped to handle real-world situations with confidence and care.
Hands-On Experience
After completing online modules, each driver participates in multi-day, in-person instruction, including:
- Vehicle safety and technology orientation
- Lift operation and securement practice
- Supervised on-the-road training
By the time a driver transports their first passenger, they’ve demonstrated the skill, empathy, and reliability that define the Reliant Rides experience.
